Default The Season Finale 5/9/06

Holy crap.

Lorelai, there is no freaking way Luke is going to give you coffee in the morning now.

I don;t think it's a dream. Lorelai could keep her mouth shut about it, that is if she get's back with Luke. But it looks like they're history.

I think this whole thing was an elaborate plot concocted by Emily!

Hear me out...

Lorelai breaks down in front of her Mother: Loreali's relationship with the neanderthal diner man is on the rocks!
Emily arranges for Christopher to come over for Friday night dinner and she invites a single woman friend to set him up with, knowing well that Lorelai wil be there and witness the whole thing. Loralai and Chris bond over the disasterous fix up situation in the bathroom and Lorelai gets that look she always gets when she is about to hook up with Chris!
After dinner, Lorealai bumps into the mystery woman outside - oh, wouldn't you know it, she happens to be a THERAPIST!
Poor Lorelai confesses her doubts to the threapist chick, who in tern tells her to tell Luke to either crap or get off the pot. It's either marriage or splitsville.
Lorelai runs to Luke and demands they elope. Luke being the same stubborn ass Luke we know and love, refuses to budge.
Loreali runs off crying, and into the arms of Christopher, Rory's Dad, because after all Emily always thought that Lorelai should have married Rory's Dad.

Emily is a genius!

I hated the episode. I can't stand Christopher.

this show ran around in circles for the entire sixth season. who knows what's going to happen now that amy sherman-palladino is done.

maybe lorelai should just marry christopher. she always ends up back with him, anyways. luke has just gotten annoying ever since his daughter showed up. that storyline made a weak season even worse.

That storyline was stupid. Why would Luke not tell Lorelei about his daughter and then keep her away from her? And why would April's mother not want Lorelei to have a relationship with her daughter since she was engaged to Luke? It didn't make sense.

I kinda had the feeling that things were going to go south for Luke and Lorelai when April entered the picture.
I disliked that Luke kept his fiance (the one he has been wanting to marry for years!) at arms lenght while he bonded with his new daughter. You knew eventually things were going to boil over.

I think Luke/Lorelai will get back together. It's conventional tv wisdom. The relationship will be tainted, though.

I still don't think Lorelai showed any real interest in Christopher during this episode.

I haven´t seen this season finale but couldn´t help but read it, as spoilers don´t spoil my GG-watching.

The whole daughter-thing was created to complicate the Luke-Lor realtionship so they wouldn´t just get married and live happily ever after. The problem is that it was to obvious, and I have not met anyone who had anything good to say about it. But then, I also didn´t like the looooong fight Luke and Lorelai had, or the loooooooooong rip between Rory and Lorelai.

i have no clue what is going to happen. I read a spoiler way back when by Amy that basically said "we all know Luke and Lor will eventually be together, it's just a matter of the **** that goes on inbetween"... of course, I paraphrased that.

I'm just not sure what is going to happen here. Why did Lorelai have to go sleep w/ Christopher? Even more so, why was LUke so adament about keeping April and Lorelai apart. That makes no sense.

UGGG!! Stupid plots! I agree, I never liked the idea of this mysterious daughter coming along. It's too much.
