Joan is never allowed a life
Woah wait...After Joan has let her "girlfriends" live with her, paid for meals and drinks, gets slapped by one of them, and mooch of her resturant you would think they would allow her some time in the spotlight. I understand Joans head is a bit inflated, but that happens when a person is told they can only sit in the back...once they get in the front they go buckwild. Instead of Toni acting jealous of Joan and her sucsess she could have sat her down as a friend. But Toni doesn't do that. Its either about her or whats the point (she said so herself).
They talk about Joan like a dog both to her face and behind her back but are always there with a hand out and what because shes geting some clout NOW they want to call her stuck up. This show just proved that if you want to be succesffull you have to be a bitch because its all they've ever shown. Toni acting like this was never a problem but the moment Joan does it she is the worst girlfriend. And P.S. on the Wayne Brady character...even though I understand a brothers hurt ...leaving her on the steps to either drive drunk and get raped if she had tried to walk was wrong. Throw some money at her for a cab and call her whatever you want but no ones anger should come before decency same with the "girlfriends" they had no idea why she wasn't there and they turn and see how torn up she looks and just walk away, they should find out what happend and then get pissed but i guess if something bad had happened it doesn't matter ...Toni comes first. |

I think the issue is we are used to seeing Toni act bitchy and vain because that is who she is. We aren't used to seeing Joan act that way. Yeah she was the "it" girl but all of that came down last night. As for Joan and Wayne Brady's character. She broke up with him for the other guy who I think was a basketball or football player. Should he really have been nice to Joan after she broke up with him? I don't really think so.

ILOVEJOAN
I completely agree with you, Joan should not have been left that way. She has always been the one there for everyone, you know what? So what if she wants to be a little Diva'ish and selfish. She's earned it, and her "friends" should have been more forgiving, and mad at themselves for depending on her for a long as they all have. None of them have any guilt or shame! I sat there with my mouth open at the end of this episode, asking WHY?? I need another season! They cannot leave me hanging onto a memory like that. |

Toni's World
I never said that his character should have “been nice”. I completely understood his anger (I’ve been there) but I am also a decent person. I just don’t believe that Joan doesn’t have the right to have fun and be a bit of a bitch at times. Lord knows it’s been done to her. When Toni had her revelation in church everyone was “awww Toni” after being a pure bitch, even stretching to say it was Joan’s fault for not making up with her. No, Toni ****ed up her relationship with Todd and her status to keep the baby maybe Toni needs to learn that Joan will not always be there to clean up her messes. Who am I kidding, SHE couldn’t keep a husband, SHE couldn’t handle her baby SHE will always need another person to blame for her mishaps and everyone will come running to her aid. Joan on the other hand doesn’t have “true friends”…they leave the moment she steps out of her place (the strong, dependable, gullible Joan)

As much as I love Joan, something needs to be done in order to knock some sense into her head. Yes, her girlfriends didn't know why she wasn't there, but the point is, she wasn't there. If Joan knew that her BEST friend was going to need her for a custody battle, the most important thing to Toni, she should have been there. And if Joan knew she needed to be there, she should have been more responsible at that party. Ain't nobody gonna feel sorry for her just because she got drunk. Derek(Wanye Brady) could have said whatever he wanted to. If ur boyfriend/girlfriend would have told u he loved u, cheated on u, then left u for another woman, you would have not given a damn about him/her being drunk and stranded. I know i sure wouldn't. So why should Derek? If you ask me, he was a lil too nice.

But here is the hypocracy....whenToni was (always is) out of pocket what do Mya and Lynn ALWAYS say: Thats just Toni. But if Joan does it she is the worst friend ever and they are no longer speaking to her. Hell, once they realized that Joan wasn't opening her pockets or home anymore or laying down to get run over they just moved to Toni.
Why bother arguing this even my friends said that in a group of women only one is supposed to have it all. They said Joan isn't prettier than the others so they would never let Joans character move from being goofy and out of place. I guess because the other girls are better than her and they can make mistakes. But no matter what, I think Joan will get up dust herself off, do some self evaluations all on her own. Find where she went wrong and got big headed all by herself. So far these past years shes done good by herself I don't see why this would be any different. |

If you ask me, Joan took the selfish route way worse than Toni! Joan got this big head like everything revolved around Joan & the h*ll with everybody else basically. Sure Toni can be mean & rude at times, but she always seemed to be there for the girls still. Joan just focused on her & she basically neglected everyone else. I mean it's ok to feel good about yourself & be a little uppity, but Joan took it too far! She needed that reality check that night at the party!

Toni has not always been there for the girls. She is a selfish so and so who wants the world to revovle around her. The minute the spotlight is off of her she can't handle it. I'm not mad at Joan at all for letting her success go to her head, she deserves it. When Toni gets does something bad Lynn and Mya are always there for her no questions asked but the minute Joan does something crazy they just turn there back on her without even finding out what's happening. I swear with friends like that.....

i somewhat agree with you "ilovejoan". I was thinking that Toni was like that in the past. But when Toni has gotten over the top, Joan cut her off, and it taught Toni a huge lesson. I don't believe that one girl is better than another, but I do think that Joan will dust her shoulders off after a while.

Toni is a straight be-yotch. i don't feel bad for her at all. If Todd would have won the case so be it. I agree, Toni thinks the world revolves around her and always has. joan is not her guardian angel, her maid, her keeper or slave! Toni needs to grow the hell up period! How many times has joan been there for Toni? Countless! Toni for Joan? zero!
I'm not mad at the Wayne Brady character. Joan made the mistake in thinking that the basketball player liked her like that. Why was she at that party? Who invited her? I didn't understand that part! She was so out of place! I'm happy for Maya & Darnell! What's with William and that stuck up heffa! i hated her! |

I say go and get yours, Joan. She has got some issues now but they shoudl be patient with her as they have had their problems in the past as well.
