Talking ***** NEW in, THE HOLLYWOOD PALACE 31 episodes DVD SET **********

THE HOLLYWOOD PALACE was an early BIG BUDGET variety show, a huge show with tons of guests, i have gotten in 31 eps on 16 discs, quality 7-8 on some
some comedy, some music--- a great mix of legends like Liberace and Nat King Cole, mixed with newcomers like Mel Brooks and Rowan and Martin!

I remember really enjoying this show as a kid. Unlike Ed Sullivan, you had a different celebrity host each week.

Hmm, my Mom and Grandmom would probably really enjoy this, especially the episodes with Nat King Cole and Kate Smith.

Default what set it apart

from some of the later variety shows was the QUALITY of the talent

a lot of variety shows in the 70s and 80s had 2nd rate or B list guests

you know, the LOVE BOAT type

BUT hollywood palace
had a lot of true Legends guest host and it also gave early peeks at future legends like george carlin and mel brooks

a great show!

sorry to ressurect an old post, but I love the episodes of Hollywood Palace that I have. I'm 33, so I don't know if i fit the demographic, but I find this show PURE ENTERTAINMENT
