How many of you guys and girls play basketball?

I play basketball and my b-ball # is 5. Our team went 29-5 with district championship and a AKIT chamionship. I play the point guard i was one of the top 5 players in my region in KY. I was named on the district all tournament team and I was named on the region team and I was Lady Raider of the year. I was on the AKIT tournament team. I'm very short 5ft1in but I can play the game of basketball. Our team goes to ball camps and we practice all summer long. That is why our team is so good.

I WANT TO BE A HOOPSTAR!! lol disney channle show, Totally Hoops..but yea i play basketball, the pass two years we lost in the championship until this year when we won! when i was younger i use to be a center cuz i was tall but then i stopped growing and everyone else grew...so now i am a point guard..i got short~i played in the all star game but i am not going to play in high school, hockey is my main sport~

I played all through high school. Those are really some accomplishments you have there sambino. I know how tough basketball in KY can be. Good luck in your last year. Didn't either West Carter or East Carter win the state tournament a few years back? I seem to remember one of the Carter high schools being in there. Oh, what does AKIT stand for? I probably know, but just forgot.

That's really good about your coach during the summer. My coach was so self-absorbed that we did hardly anything in the summer. Went to UofL for a week and some practices, but that was it.

I played on our bball team, #33, but now the season is over... But I have 2 camps to go to this summer, Conners State College camp, and Muldrow Camp. I can't wait! hehee, they're in a row, I won't be home 4 2 weeks!

Lesiem14 It was West Carter who won the State Girls Basketball championship way back in 2000. That was the best team ever. They had 38-1 record. We haven't been to state yet but with me coming back and my other great teammates we have a good chance of going to state this year. Thanks for what you said. The way I got to were I am now is hard work, determination, and I practice b-ball every night and day. I eat, sleep, and drink basketball. Our coach work us hard but that why we are so good. I am hopefully looking at a b-ball schloarship when I am a senior which is next year.

I play for fun at home and at P.E. at school just for fun but i'm not all that good cuz soccer is my sport.

Me!!! Our team won the spirit championship!!!! I was pointgaurd!!!! I also like Volleyball, soft ball, and soccer. I also Ice skate!!!

I regret to this day not trying out for my high school basketball team. If i woulda who knows i might've gotten a scholarship to go to college & i might've been in the NBA right now. Basketball is my favorite sport & i love it to death. The only thing i don't like about organized basketball is remembering plays. I'm so used to playing street basketball at the parks every summer with other black kids that i'm used to playing it that way instead of doing plays. I definitely don't like sitting the bench for long periods of time when i know i can play better than the majority of the starters. I played community basketball when i was in 10th grade i think & i ended up quitting cause i didn't get that much playing time. A lot of players in the NBA don't mind sitting on the bench forever cause they're collecting a paycheck but not me. I wanna be out there to contribute & score. I like to shoot the ball a lot & i'm a pretty good shooter. A lot of guys i've played with say i have a nice jumpshot. I'm a good rebounder too. My defense is decent. I'm only 5'10 but my position is shooting guard cause i can't really handle the ball like a point guard.

I tried out for my basketball team in 8th grade and made the first cut but not the team and since then I've focused more on golf.
