Music How many Canadian musicians are equally as well known in the US?

I know that Anne Murray,Niel Young and Bryan Adams are just as well known in the USA,as they are in Canada. And obviously the same can be said for KD Lang, going by her"Crying"duet with Roy Orbison.

But what about Gordon Lightfoot,Burton Cummings,Corey Hart,Luba,The Spoons,The Parachute Club,Ian Thomas,Kim Mitchell or Jane Siberry?

It seems to me that the latter artist, for one, isn't well known in the US.Someone once told me that Platinum Blonde aren't known to Americans either.

I'm pretty sure Rush would be quite familiar to Americans. As well as Blue Rodeo maybe.Definetly Paul Anka.

Rush is one of the greatest bands on the planet.

How about Voivod?

How about Helix?

How about 3 Inches of Blood?

How about Max Webster, and Kim Mitchell?

Does anybody else know about these bands?

Diana Krall, Michael Buble, Barenaked Ladies and Avril Lavigne are pretty well known. I don't know how popular they are in Canada but a lot of the Canadian acts I know about are one or two USA hit wonders like Corey Hart, Jann Arden, Honeymoon Suite, Tom Cochrane and Crash Test Dummies.
