To me, he seemed so out of place. This is an episode that they should've waited to do when John Amos came back.

I liked the character, it did looked like they were using him as a fill in for John Amos. They should have brought him back, because the character gelled with the others. He was likable. Put it this way, I would have rather seen occasional appearances from Wilbur rather than Carl.
