I don't even know why I'm in college! I have no freakin clue what I want to be.

I hear ya, honey
There are things I'm interested in, but I can't see myself making a career out of any of them. It's definitely so tough. |

I'm not in college, but I know the feeling. I'm also scared that I won't get into college cause I'm just not interested in school at all. I'm more into music and art but it's not something I want to make a career of. I know I'm still young and I'm still in high school, but I never know what to do with myself. Everyone wants me to be one thing, and other people want me to be another thing, so it's hard.

I think that's the worst part of it--not only do we have no idea what we want, but there are people that expect so much out of us. I am the same way with my writing as you are with music/art. I love it so much and it's truly my passion in life, but I'm not sure if I can make a living out of it.I wish you luck, though ![]() Quote:

I was sooooo conflicted my sophomore year with my major. I was really considering changing it (from Architecture to Linguistics), but in the end, I stuck with Architecture and am soooo glad I did. I only needed that extra year to finally found why I'm majoring in it in the first place and I did. So even though I still wanted to be a Linguist, I'm happy I stuck with Architecture because I can still have a stable career (work in an Architecture firm) and travel and learn languages on the side without doing all that unneccessary side things like writing terms papers and theses.

Hi, I am new here. I started college later than most. Had a baby at 18 so had to put off college. Plus at the time I had no idea what i wanted to do with my life. Now, I am happy to say that i am a senior in college and getting ready to graduate with a degree in Social Work. Just take your time and it will come to you....
