Switch The Evidence and Invasion. Invasion has a shot. Evidence does not.

I really think ABC will renew one of the three dramas that premiered this season. None deserve it, but I think they will just so it won't be so embarrassing. Frontrunners seem to be either Invasion or Brian. If Invasion comes back, it won't be in the post-Lost slot though. I want to see CiC return the most but it looks doubtful. I like all three which is a shame.

I also see ABC basically cancelling every sitcom, except 1 or MAYBE 2, if they feel generous. Hope and Faith seems to be the frontrunner with Jim 2nd. I've also heard some recent rumblings about Lopez and Freddie, but I think those two are very doubtful. It just depends on how their sitcom pilots test.

I wish they would release their early renewals... Boston Legal and Supernanny have been reported on the internet, but ABC has not confirmed either one(not that I doubt it).

At CBS, their Monday lineup is weakening. Only Two and a Half Men and Christine are doing well, King of Queens is probably dead. The stars want more money and it lost not only to Deal or No Deal Monday, but also Wife Swap AND Prison Break! Absolutely pathetic. They don't deserve another penny in their salary. This whole night is in real trouble if ABC does indeed move Grey's(which I'm confident they will).

The Amazing Race will likely NOT be on the Fall schedule. CBS only ordered one season and it's doing very bad on Wednesdays at 8.

Here's my ABC idea:

Sundays-AFV/EM: HE/DH/Brothers and Sisters or another new drama
Mondays-Wife Swap/Grey's/Brian or another new drama
Tuesdays-New Comedies(or one new and Jim)/Hope and Faith/New Comedy/Boston Legal
Wednesdays-DWTS/Lost/Nine Lives or another new drama
Thursdays-The Bachelor or Reality/DWTS Results/Secrets of a Small Town or another new drama
Fridays-Invasion?/Supernanny/20/20

Some risky moves, but the schedule they have now isn't working for the most part.

CBS

Sundays

60 Minutes/Cold Case/New Drama/Crime Repeat

*The movie will not be able to compete against ABC AND Football on NBC*

If the new drama at 9 is successful, premiere a new one at 10 after the Super Bowl and then launch it there. This could be a HUGE opening if ABC moves Grey's.

Mondays-Old Christine/New Comedy/2.5 Men/New Comedy/CSI: Miami
Tuesdays-NCIS/The Unit/Company Town or another new drama
Wednesdays-Jericho or another new drama/Criminal Minds/CSI: NY
Thursdays-Survivor/CSI/Without a Trace
Fridays-Ghost Whisperer/Close to Home/Numb3rs

CBS is probably the easiest of the 5 to figure out. Only a few problem areas.

(I don't know where HIMYM should go, the numbers are bad on Mondays at 8:30).

NBC

Sundays-Football
Mondays-DOND/L&O: CI/Medium
Tuesdays-The Biggest Loser/Black Donnellys/L&O: SVU
Wednesdays-Heroes/Studio 60/L&O
Thursdays-Scrubs/New Comedy/Earl/The Office/ER
Fridays-DOND/Las Vegas/Crossing Jordan

Final season of The Apprentice can air Sundays after Football along with Dateline and other shows.

FOX-Blah.

The CW

Sundays-Reba/Flirt or New Comedy/Everwood/Aquaman
Mondays-Chris/New Comedy/Girlfriends/The Game
Tuesdays-Gilmore/Veronica
Wednesdays-Top Model and Beauty and the Geek/Palm Springs and One Tree Hill(to avoid repeats)
Thursdays-Smallville/Supernatural
Fridays-Wrestling

They premiered more than three new dramas this season. Invasion is the only one that I think will return. It is too good of a show. I like Brian, too, but I doubt it. It would work so well after Grey's.

Hope & Faith the frontrunner? I don't think so. George Lopez is the frontrunner. They will bring back 2 or 3. Jim, Hope & Faith, and Freddie are the other candidates, in that order.

Yeah, I meant the three that are still on right now.

About the sitcoms, I'm just going on speculation I've seen. To be perfectly honest, ABC should just cancel them all and start over.

It does seem unlikely that ABC will renew any of their sitcoms as they've all disappointed in the ratings this past season. Plus looking at previous years, they canceled My Wife and Kids and 8 Simple Rules (which were once tent poles to ABC's lineup) without even batting an eyelash. They didn't even give the series time to do a proper finale and both ended with cliff-hangers. I wouldn't expect ABC to bring back George Lopez, Jim or Hope and Faith out of respect. Which is a shame. I think George Lopez and Hope and Faith are still very good and have enough steam to go atleast another season. I never liked According to Jim though. I just found it painfully un-funny, so I don't really care what happens to that show.

But unfortunately, if ABC were to keep only one of the three, my money's on Jim.

Also for NBC, I'd probably put SCRUBS in the "on the bubble" category. Scrubs is one of my all-time favorite sitcoms, but the ratings this past season were horrible (thanks to that cruddy time-slot!!). I wouldn't think of it as a lock to return.

All changes are made Pav and Masterblooregard.

I just hope 'Bernie Mac' makes it to another season. After everything FOX has put that show through, the cast and crew deserve to go out on top IMO.

There is no way ABC will cancel all of their sitcoms. You need some veterans to go with any new ones. I bet that George Lopez, According to Jim and Freddie are back. I also have a hunch that they will do with Hope & Faith what they did with Less Than Perfect last year. By that I mean bring it back as a a mid season replacement to get a 4th year for syndication. I think Buena Vista wants Kelly Ripa's face in syndication to get free advertising for Regis & Kelly. Only 8 Simple Rules was canceled after 3 seasons just short of the 100 episodes needed for syndication. Watching the reruns on the WB I am still trying to figure out why. It is still better than most of the sitcoms they have on now. Okay, I won't start that rant again.

Also, I have heard that ABC still likes Sons & Daughters and may bring it back with more compatible shows around it. I hope that is not true. I think that show is awful.

By the way, being the huge 8 Simple Rules fan I am I am hoping that ABC picks up the new Sisters Project sitcom starring Kaley Cuoco. Somehow, I think they will not because I have not heard much buzz about it. However, I hope it is picked up. Kaley needs a new sitcom. That is her best type of show.

NBC May 15, ABC May 16, CBS May 17, FOX and the CW? May 18.

The only one I'm unsure about is the CW.

Please God no. Losing to Wrestling when UPN has had affiliates pulled(meaning FOX is avaliable in more homes) is downright unacceptable. It also drug down Trading Spouses(could the two be MORE uncompatitable?).

That show is boring. If they renew it, it will suffer the same fate as Jake in Progress. They'll highly promote it's return for one episode, pull it, and then never mention it again.

One thing is clear, regardless of what ABC does with the sitcoms, Wednesday at 8 CANNOT be sitcoms! Lost is down significantly this season(but WOW what an ending last night) and it's going to get worse if ABC doesn't do something dramatic. I don't think putting on a lame drama that's going to flop will help much.
