Dumbest Celebrity Baby Names - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

After the birth of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes's little baby, which they named Suri, my local paper, the Toronto Sun, published a list of other celebrity children that were given really odd names and I'd like to share them with you here, along with their famous parent's names on the right. As you go through the list, keep one question in mind: What were they thinking??? Or, if you prefer, what were they on?

Dweezil, Moon Unit, Ahm, and Diva Muffin --- Frank Zappa

Lourdes --- Madonna

I'm sure the nurses at LA area hospitals have to have training on how to keep a straight face when presented with the task of asking celebrities the baby's name for the birth certificate!!!

Ahm, is that a typo? I know he has a son named Ahmet is that what you meant?I think Rob Morrow has a really bad celebrity name. His daughter is named Tu as in Tu Morrow. Poor girl.

Lourdes (Madonna's daughter) is not a wild name. It is the name of a saint.

I feel so out of it.... Maybe I'll change my name to Pitooey Balderdash Kontiki or

Pitooey Prunilda Haberdashery Orbit....

For the most part, I think MOST (or all) celeb baby names are just chosen just for the attention and for their kids to have VERY unique and obvious baby names.

That almost sounds/looks like Jor-El (Superman's father), and I know someone (a friend of mine) who has Jorel as a middle name. His parents thought he was going to be a girl, so they scrambled to choose boy names. That's what they came up with.

Well swedeace, it probably sounds like that to you because Kal-El is actually Superman's name.

Anyway, as weird as names like Apple are, I think Pilot Inspecktor has to be the WORST one of all time.

David Carradine and Barbara Hershey named their son Free. This was in the late 60's/early 70's so that was typical of the times. Barbara Hershey even changed her name to Barbara Seagull after seeing a dead sea gull.
