I'm sure we have a few fitness buffs on this board! I was wondering if anyone and everyone could give me some help!
For the runners: How did you build up your endurance to run mile(s) at a time? Is there anything special I can do? For anyone and everyone: Any exercises? Healthy food suggestions? ANYTHING AT ALL! I'm a beginner here and have a month to get in shape! Anything would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! ks ------------------------------ Blair: Come on Jo. Give me a P! Give me an E! Give me a P! Jo: Gi'me a break. |

Stretch. You can hurt yourself If you don't stretch. And breathe. Breathing is very important to runners. Thats pretty much it.

Yeah the fiirst thing you should always do is stretch. Then for running what u can try is to take it slowly. you should try to pace yourself to a speed where u r not easily tiered out. Or you can try like start of jogging for ten minutes then walk ten minutes the run. do that for a few days then when u feel that that is beginning to become easier then u run longer and longer.
That's what my coach told me to do. Then for food you should get a well balanced diet especially with pasta. It's good for energy. Make sure u drink plenty of liquids and get plennty of sleep. I hope that helped u some

Bananas- they prevent cramps...
start drinking ALOT of water the night before you run, and then drink TONS during the day!! <~~ extremly important to do!! as said before, take it slow at first.... ------------------ ~Meg~ *Opportunity does not knock, and then ring the doorbell, and then knock again, and then leave a note that says, "Sorry I missed you" and then call you on the phone.* Stephanie: Nice move. Did you make that up? Tony: Yeah, well I saw it on TV first, then I made it up. |
