If you can't verify that she has traded with anyone reputable, I would make a very small trade and go from there. I found this, but don't know if there is a relation:

http://phone.people.yahoo.com/py/psP...Address+Search

There probably is a relationship, being Sardis Georgia's 2000 population was 1171:

This is the part of the internet I don't like.
Personal info should not be that readily available to anybody.

You try and make a simple trade and people can run complete background checks on you. Very disturbing.

Some info should be kept private, but the info I posted can be found in a telephone directory. The internet just makes it easier.

Yeah but, your info links up to a site called intelius.com wherre people who are willing to fork over $50 can obtain such information as
  • Criminal Report,
  • Lawsuits,
  • Judgments,
  • Liens,
  • Bankruptcies,
  • Property Ownership,
  • 30 Year Address History,
  • Relatives & Associates,
  • Neighbors,
  • Licenses,
  • Marriage records, and more.
So with a few clicks and a couple of dollars who knows what you can uncover about your neighbours, co-workers, etc

Don't take your privacy for granted, you'll regret it some day.

You're right, but the majority of that info is public record anyway. The advantage of paying a service to do it is it's almost instantaneous. The only thing that might not fall into "public record" is criminal records, which vary from state to state; i.e. arrest records. Once an indictment occurs, it becomes public record anywhere.

You might be joking about it but I can bet you there's a lot of jealous people out there that aren't laughing - and all it takes is 1 of those bad apples to act on it. We have already seen it on a minor scale.

The fact is that you can be well-liked by everyone but one person...and if that one person has the means to make your life miserable....

She just wrote me and told me that it just so happens that every single DVD I wanted from her didn't play. (it was a 50 disc trade) then wanted to know if I still wanted to trade. At least nobody got burnt.... Maybe she saw this thread and decided she couldn't go through with it, I don't know. Thanks for the info t-greg!

Default Wow

Wow Kix..that is really unfortunate.

Could be worse, she could have written you and said all discs YOU sent didn't play and she needed a remake of all those discs.

Or her burner died, and could she send them all to you to do-

Or She mailed them, but the post office is holding them hostage because she uses talc powder to keep her envelopes from sticking and they thought it was a biological agent.

YES someone did tell me that once, all of them actually.
