Don't know if this has ever been posted here or not but I hope you'll like it if it hasn't.

...this is one of the most widely available "cast commercials" of the show, 'redrocker'. It was originally shown at the end of random episodes of "THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW" in the spring of 1964. Because the series was sponsored by General Foods, Andy and company were expected to deliver an "integrated" commercial at the end of every episode. Because Post cereals was the "primary" product GF was pushing, sometimes Andy and Don (and maybe joined by another cast member or two) would pitch, oh, "Grape-Nuts" or "Post Toasties" before the final sponsor I.D. and closing credits. And THIS one, for Grape-Nuts, is the one in the "sheriff's office" where Barney gets Andy to do exercises before he can enjoy his bowl of Grape-Nuts...while Barn' sneaks a bowl for himself {"A Grape-Nuts breakfast fills you UP, not OUT, fills you UP, not OUT.....!"/"Delicious...."}.

....most collectors KNOW about this one, 'redrocker'. It's good that you brought it up here in this forum, because there are some people who DON'T know about it. There's another one for "Post Toasties" from the same period, where Andy, Opie and Aunt Bee are sitting down to breakfast....and Andy performs a little "magic" by shucking an ear of corn that spouts Post Toasties
{"Cracklin' fresh!"/"Did you see that, Aunt Bee?"/"Um-hm, a hundred times!"}. It sold their corn flakes, all right.

Thanks for awaring us, though redrocker! I saw that commercial on a PD DVD called "TV Gold." under CLASSIC COMMERCIALS. You actually brought me a chuckle reminding me of it.

I saw that commercial (along with the "THE FLINSTONES" one for Winston that's also on that site) YEARS ago, on a VHS tape that was called "C LASSIC COMMERCIALS FROM THE 50S AND 60S" or something like that.

Well, I'd never seen it, so thank you redrocker for posting it! It's fun to watch those old commercials.
