Talking Anyone a NASCAR Fan?

My all time favorite sport is NASCAR! Loved it since the Coca-Cola 600 in 1997. My driver? JEFF GORDON!!! (Yeah, I've already heard them all ) My favorite tracks are California, Sonoma, and Watkins Glen, cause that's where Jeff does best, and Phoenix, because I get the opportunity to go there every year.
As far as other drivers, I like the Burtons, the Labontes, and the Waltrips. (Darryl is soooo funny in the booth with Larry Mac) Though I was never an Earnhardt fan, I also kinda would like to see Dale Jr. win one this season after all he's been through.

Anyone else?

Welcome to the first post of the new relaxed me... Jeff Gordon is ok (which is great compared to the stuff I called him last year. #3, #3, #3 Michael Waltrip is my new favorite, replacing Bobby Labonte. I was glad to see Bobby Hamilton win @ Dega, I miss North Wilkesboro, #3, #3, #3 and I will not be watcing the two races from New HAmpshire.

Sad

I can't believe he's gone either. It's not the same without his aggressive style of driving that I always used to cuss I can still remember the chill that went through my body when my aunt told us he died. I cried for days. I felt soooo gulity because I cheered when he crashed because I really wanted Michael to win. Then I thought before I found out "oh my God, what if he died?" In fact, I still feel guilty about that one.

Question

I wonder what kind of tributes they will do Sunday since it would have been Dale's 50th b-day?

Have you ever noticed that the only people who admit to being Jeff Gordon fans are female?

Since Earnhardt died, I have no one favorite driver. Now, it's whichever DEI car does best (Usually Steve Park), and Kevin Harvick. But one has to love that portly gentleman, Jimmy Spencer.

Favorite tracks? Riverside, North Wilkesboro, and Richmond. The first two aren't on the schedule anymore, and I live near Richmond....

Actually, all my favorite drivers are dead, it seems. Earnhardt, Tim Richmond, Alan Kulwicki....

Bummer, innit?

Hey! Watch it! I've seen some JG fans that are men at the race in Phoenix. But men tend to be more agressive in nature and prefer the more agressive drivers i.e. Mr. Earnhardt. Though he had plenty of female fans. My mom's friend for one, except now she's a Stewart fan and on my list, if ya know what I mean
