Maybe for those people who aren't really interested in reading full DVD reviews, a weekly round up of all the DVD releases with a mini description and rating would be useful? It could also help people interested in many TV Shows on DVD to compare easily.
Simmilar to what TV.com do (http://www.tv.com/story/story.html&story_id=4240) they don't review them but something like that may be useful here.

How could they be rated if we never received them?
I don't know if you've ever done a review, but they take a lot of time. First, you have to watch the actual set, then you have to do research, and then you have to write it. It's a long process. We try to make them detailed, with information people would be interested in knowing prior to purchasing a set. We review every sitcom set we can get. It's interesting to note that we refer more sales through the reviews than through other links like on the message boards... so people must be reading them.

I know a lot of people read them - but to have a summary of the week, along with the ratings and a small description then links to buy, it makes it easy to compare.
