Default How would you send either series?

We all know that What's Happening and What's Happening Now both did not have 'finales.' How would you all have ended the series?

I think Mrs. Thomas's last episode could have been a great series final. It shouldn't have happened that soon though.

Definitely have Dwayne and Dee end up together. Raj FINALLY become a successful writer and Mabel find a man.

For What's Happening!!, I would have ended it with Raj and Reruns friendship being put to the test as they both would go out for the same fraternity and Raj gets accepted but hides it from Rerun. Dwayne's father would comeback and push him to go to the college he graduated from but gets angered when he finds out that Dwayne wants to go to the military. They argue but then he see's his point and supports Dwayne's decision. Dee would actually get a boyfriend. Shirley would be offered a supervisory position for a new upscale hotel in the downtown area which would offer her more money and perks. Mrs. Thomas would return back for the last episode announcing her intention to enroll in night school at the community college so she can get a better job.

For What's Happening Now, Raj remembers his days of working for the failed sitcom Central Avenue. He hears about a new network that just been created and they are looking for black shows (during this era, that network would be Fox but there would be no mention of it on the show). He gets the idea to recreate Central Avenue for the 1980's and ironically calls it "What's Happening on Central!." The network loves it and offers him to be the executive consultant of it. He is also asked to help with other shows also. Shirley ends up owning the entire restaurant as Raj gives up his half to work on the shows. Shirley decides to make Maurice (Martin Lawrence) a supervisor.

The only problem with that is Rerun didn't go to college, so he wouldn't be able to get into a fraternity.
