Default Raj was weird in this episode

His Momma gave him two tickets to a Stevie Wonder concert and he was undecided who to give the other ticket to. Instead of taking a friend and hurting the other friend's feelings, why didn't he ask a girl?

I know. I thought that was strange. I guess he didn't want both friends to be mad at him then.

Wink It would've definitely made more sense...

It would've definitely made much more sense for Raj to take a girl to that concert, as opposed to going the route that he ultimately did...
That's totally agreed with & understood.

Exactly, although since they were so close, I am sure they would've eventually found out. If anything, Dee would've blabbed. lol

another question, why is it Mabel kept saying THEY AREN'T YOUR TICKETS TO SELL????? Did the lady not GIVE THEM TO MABEL???? Once that transfer has taken place, they no longer belong to that lady...Mabel gave them to Raj. And for Raj to want to sell them and treat his friends rather than hurt their feelings (assuming he wasn't smart enough to ask a girl) there was nothing wrong with that. Mama pissed me off in this episode everytime she kept saying that THEY AREN'T YOURS TO SELL!

I had 2 best friends in high school and the 3 of us were together constantly like Raj, Rerun, and Dwayne. I would've been upset if I was left out of something, lol. You're all right, he should've asked a girl to go. But, selling the tickets was a good idea too, a real friend!

Exactly! Great point made on THIS one, TVResearcher/Solomon!!
Neither Dwayne nor Rerun had to know about Raj going to a concert at all, even though they always dropped by the house and so forth. Raj could've asked a girl out to the concert, and that probably would've been the end of the whole storyline idea...WHO KNOWS???

Exactly, that was one of the low moments of Raj in this series. He was supposed to be this smart guy but didn't have enough sense to know that you don't choose between two friends when it comes to only ONE ticket to a concert

Just like Barney Fife said once to Andy in an episode of Andy Griffith Show, Season 2: "Exactilioso..."
Right on & ON, Solomon buddy... on all counts above!!
And it all goes back to what we've been saying about Raj Thomas in general:
He had all the book sense that could possibly be, but he sure as hell lacked COMMON SENSE. Sad, but it's all good though... LOL.

He probably didn't have a girlfriend at the time to take to the concert which left Rerun and Dwayne.

Raj really never had a girlfriend on the show, but he was chasing after them in a few. He didn't need a girlfriend, just a girl to take to the concert.
