Default Are you a creature of habit when it comes to...

buying certain products?
shopping at certain stores, grocery stores?
anything at all...are you just a stickler for using one brand over another?

I tend to stick with the dish soap Palmolive. It always seems to be on sale and I will buy two or three bottles. By the time I need to buy more, there it is again on sale. I like it. I like the way it smells.

When it comes to hair products I have to have spritz. It's not hairspray. Spritz allows you fix your hair before the spritz keeps it in place. Hairspray won't allow that. you have to have your hair the way you want it and then spray.

Whenever it comes to grocery shopping, i have to shop at Vons. I love that store. Everyone that works there is so nice and courteous. They have a beautiful store that doesn't even look like a typical store, it's dimly lit and very elegant. I dread if I have to shop at some other grocery store, for example, whenever we have a get-together at my sister's and we need something, I dread going to the other stores nearby.

I usually do go to the same stores all the time, but I will buy things that are on sale. Unless it's something I really love.

Have you tried those Palmolive towels that already has the dish soap in them? I LOVE THEM I have the glass cooktop kinda stove and it those towels scrubs off spills in no time.

Anyway back to your topic LOL. I tend to buy the same things over and over. I only buy a certain brands when it comes to food. I only use Dove Mousse because I like the way it makes my hair feel, not all rock hard. I drive about 20 miles just for this certain lip gloss that I use because it last longer and it makes my lips extra shiney and it's only 99 cents

So I stick with what I'm use to

I like to purchase the non-grocery items like toothpaste, soap, hair items, etc, at WalMart. Grocery stores like Smith's, Albertson's, John Brooks, and stuff like that are much more expensive.

As far as name brands go, most things I don't mind. It's certain things like Dr. Pepper taste so much better when it's the actual brand instead of the generic brand. The generic brand tends to taste sweeter and tastes as though it has been opened and gone flat or something.

I'm like that quite a bit. For starters, I have to have Hood's milk. For some reason, their skim milk tastes so much better than other brands. I think the milk stays fresher longer too because of the light-blocking bottles. I'm the customer who sees shelves full of other milk brands and asks the dairy clerk to check to see if there's more Hood in the back cooler.

I also love Dove Hair products, They make my hair so full and soft.

I have to have Dannon nonfat yogurt. No other yogurt will do it for me.

I also tend to buy a lot of products from companies that do the Boxtops for Education. I fully support companies that support schools.

As for stores, I like shopping in a place that is clean, (I've been in stores that are just filthy! ) and has a friendly atmosphere. I won't deal with rude, unhelpful employees; I just take my business elsewhere. I know how hard it is to work in customer service (I worked at a grocery store for several years.) but the customer is right within reason and deserves respect. Of course, the employees shouldn't have to deal with rude, unreasonable, or abusive customers.

Just to go off topic for a second about rude workers...

About a week ago, I was going to Blockbuster to rent some movies, and I also took back the ones my Mom had rented as well. Once I got my movies and all of that, I went up to the counter and realized I didn't have my card on me. From the start, I was getting a bad vibe from the clerk behind the counter...bad energy, I suppose. Anyway, when I got to the counter, I said I didn't have my card and asked if I could use my driver's license instead.

As I said the second part, the guy decided to speak at the SAME time, so then I didn't hear what he said. When I stopped to listen to him, he decided to stop too, and just stared at me. I was already frustrated because he just didn't seem very nice, so I said "Wait, what?" and in a snotty tone, he goes "Which MOVIES did you just bring back?" I hadn't even paid attention to what they were, so I said "Oh, I dunno, whichever three I just laid down over there for you." So then the guy just goes "You mean you don't KNOW?" extremely rudely. So I gave him a rude look right back and said "Well no, for your information, I'm not the person who watched them!" And anyway, we got it all settled out and I couldn't wait to get my movies and get the hell out of there.

I just felt the need to share that.

That's why I hate shopping at Wal-Mart.

I guess it's not just our Walmart that is like that than...

I have to use those powder deodorizers on my carpet. I also am a stickler for those germ-killing products...for kitchen, bath, etc. I know it's bad for use to do that because our immune systems don't get a chance to fight off the germs, but I feel so much better knowing the house is CLEAN.

I agree. I've been okay so far with using Clorox Wipes on everything...Lysol on doorknobs...etc, so I'm not going to stop. Lord knows we probably touch enough germy stuff in public.

And no...our Wal-Mart is White Trash-ville. It's ridiculous.

Same here. One Wal-Mart we have is REALLY bad, it's insane. The trashiest kinds of people shop there, and the store is always filthy. Luckily a few years ago they built another Wal-Mart on a nicer side of town, and that one stayed really nice for a couple of years, but now it's like the word has gotten out about that one and now it's getting almost (but not quite) as bad as the original one was that I went to in the first place.

I definitely think it's a Wal-Mart thing, because our Targets are never like that.

We used to have a Target in the ghetto, and it was never as bad as even the Wal-Mart that's on the ritzy side of town. Apparently white trash thinks Target is too expensive or something so they never go there.

I'm a creature of habit and very loyal certain brands of products. That's not to say I won't switch if there's a bargain involved and I can save a few pennies...

I do tend to shop at the same store every week and buy the same brands,
but if something new catches my eye I will try it out.

Hm, I tend to get my groceries at Waulbaums and my hair care/beauty products at Wal-mart (because they tend to be cheaper there). I'm not really fussy about brand names or anything--I just pick whatever's cheapest and will satisfy my needs
