Hey, did anyone notice with the 3rd season boxset that some of the episodes, the opening credits were cut short, I know on Disc 1, Disc 2, and Disc 4, the first episoe had the long version and the rest had shorted versions, but on Disc 3 the last 2 or 3 shows had the long version. Can someone tell me if this was the work of trying to use the syndicated version, or was the shorted credits the originals for the 3rd season. Or was it they didn't want to keep the long version on each episode only for a selected few. I know for sure that Season's 1, 2, 4, and 5 all the episodes had the longer version.
Oh yeah I'm glad they kept the sequence at the end of the show, signalling the ending credits, I think in the fourth and fifth seasons that sequence is used for commercial breaks in the middle of the show. |

I'm pretty sure that season 3 was always like that. That is, most episodes had the shorter opening title sequence with just a few having the full version. At least that's how it always aired here in Europe. At the very least, it was not something done specifically for the DVDs or for syndication.
Seasons 1, 2, 4 and 5 had the full opening on every episode though, and I expect the DVDs will as well. Seasons 6 and 7 had a shorter opening (same format as the short version in season 3) and I think one or two episodes in season 7 had an even shorter one. Season 8 had one that was shorter than the regular season 6/7 opening but not quite as short as the shorter-than-short season 7 one. This is all from memory though. |
