Naomi on ALF - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

This is cool! (Maybe this was already mentioned.) I rented a Disc of Alf (Season 2) and I'm watching the episode "Tequila" and it was good (I didn't think too much about it until half-way through.) Half way through the show, something looked familiar (and a little odd.) It was Dorothy playing a college friend of the mom!! Her character (hair and voice and mannerisms) were TOTALLY different from Mama's Family. Her hair was great...at times her voice was familiar but still different. It must have been refreshing for her to play a different character (while doing Mama's Family). It's funny because in the Alf episode, there was a reference to ALL MY CHILDREN - didn't Dorothy play a part in that in the 70s? Also, in a Mama's Family episode, there was a reference to Alf

I remember when Naomi was on ALF I think she played Kate Best Friend on ALF

Anyway to post a screencap? I'd like to see how she looked. Then again I could always rent as well.

It would be neat to see her portray new mannerisms and voice other than the ones I've become acustom to. Outside MF, I haven't seen any of Dorothy's other work.

BTW, I check IMDB and her character for that episode was listed as Maura Norris.

If you have watched all episodes closely, you would have also seen Iola in one of the episodes.

I don't remember what it's called, but she plays a police officer I believe.

Ah, I never noticed this until now. Thanks for doing those screencaps, Richee. Beverly sure looks different. Those are one nifty pair of bug-eyed glasses.

Yeah, Dorothy Lyman played Kate's best friend Maura who had a drinking problem.

Beverly Archer played Myrna Bird in that episode.

After the Achmaneks were robbed, they decided to form a neighborhood watch program.

Fun fact, Ms. Archer didn't just act in ALF and Mama's Family, she also wrote for them as well.

Yes, she was! Also I saw Ken Berry on an episode of the Golden Girls. He played a guy named Thor Anderson- Rose's old boyfriend. I guess they both had loose contracts.
