Default Did anybody else think that Deeeluxe Apartment in the Sky...

...was a bit too small? I mean George was supposed to be making some big bucks, so why such a small place? They moved from a bigger house in Queens to this small apartment in Manhattan. They should've gave them a house or a penthouse like Mr. Drummond. lol

actually back then watching this it was very nice and looked like something a rich person would have. However, I am not from New York, so I guess a New Yorker would know better. Looking back, it did seem small. But isn't the price one pays for an apt./condo etc. in New York, aren't they really paying for views?

I think that the Jeffersons House and their apartment was about neck in neck size wise. Niether one had a formal Dining Room and both had small kitchens. Although in their house the kitchen was a tad bit bigger. Also in their house they only had one bathroom, while in the apartment they had 4 johns as George would put it.

Four bathrooms? I only know of two. One by the front door and one in the master bedroom.

Mother Jefferson seemed to have a room whenever she stayed with them because she would get up off the couch and say she was going to go take a nap. I'm thinking that may be the same room that Florence eventually moved into.

Thumbs up

As a New Yorker They had a nice apartment in the sky. It had a view and a balcony. I imagined that the apartment was bigger and had great views of the city. They had a doorman, elevators.... the place was clean. NYC has some small apartments but I've also seen beautiful humongous ones. They didn't have a humongous apartment but for them it was just right.

When you got money in NYC you can have the whole view of Manhattan.
