Okay, I am very embarrassed this took me so long to get posted. I've had it all written down for almost a year and haven't typed it. Eek. But anyways, here it is, like I promised a very long time ago: Season Two.
--------------------------------------------------------------- Deep-throated-important-sounding-announcer: When we last left our friends, Terri had decided not to return to her practice in Hawaii, but to stay in California to be near Larry. Larry has admitted his love for Terri and vise-versa. Jack and Janet are just back from their honeymoon and RF and Larry are right where they always were. We now return to the days of Terri Loves Larry, the Return. Jack/Janet's Apartment. Day. Jack, Janet, and Terri are all sitting on the couch like old times, discussing Terri's decision. Jack: So I guess you'll be staying here for awhile, huh Ter? Terri: Yeah. I think so. Larry wants me to stay and I think he's right. I've already written to the hosital in Hawaii and they should be responding any day now. Janet: Are you going to apply back at the hospital here? Terri: Definately. I loved working there. And it's good to be back. I'm gonna have to find a new apartment though. Jack: Well you're welcome to stay with us as long as you need. Terri: Thanks guys. Janet: Yeah, we'd love to have you. And Mr. Furley will probably be able to find you somewhere nearbye. Terri: I'll never have the kind of roomates I used to have though. Janet: Aw, thanks sweetie. Jack: So, has Larry mentioned the 'm' word yet? Terri: Not yet. But I think he's close. Staying here is a big decision, and I know he appreciates it. So we'll see what happens. Later. The doorbell rings. Jack answers the door and Larry peeks in. Jack: Hi Lare. Larry: Is Terri here? Jack: No. She and Janet just went out to go shopping. Larry: Good. Larry comes in and closes the door behind him. Jack: What's up? Larry: This. He holds up a letter. Jack: Okay, what's that? Larry: A letter to Terri. It was at RF's apartment so I picked it up. Jack: Oh, okay. I'll give it to her for ya. He holds out his hand but Larry pulls it back. Larry: Oh no. No, no, no. We're not doing that. You don't understand. The letter is from her practice in Hawaii, and they said - Jack: You opened her mail? Larry: Umm... Jack: Larry! You can't just open other people's mail. That's illegal. Larry: That's not the point. I'm trying to tell you what I found out - look, her old boss wrote her. They really want her back in Hawaii, if she returns she'll get a promotion and a bonus. Jack: Oh. Oh.... Larry: Yeah. Jack, what should I do? Jack: Well, you gotta talk to Terri. It's her decision afterall. Larry: Not if she doesn't see the letter. Jack: What? You can't do that! Larry: I have it right here. She never needs to know. Jack: Give me the letter, Larry. You can't keep it from her. Larry: I can try. Jack shakes his head but decides to let it go for now. He leaves for the restaurant. Janet and Terri are downtown shopping. Janet sits down on a bench. Janet: So, what was it you wanted to talk about? Terri: I got a letter from a friend I had in Hawaii. She said the doctor who supervised our wing is determined to get me back, isn't that great? She says he's writing to offer me a promotion if I return. Janet: Wow, Terri, that's wonderful! Congratulations. Terri: Thanks. I'm very proud. Janet: You should be, that's quite an achievement to be promoted. Do you think you'll go? Terri: No, I won't go. I already decided that. Larry asked me not to move back to Hawaii and I think he really appreciates that I said I won't. I won't break my word to Larry for a little extra money. Janet: I hope he does appreciate it. That's a promotion you've worked hard for. Terri: It doesn't matter. Really. If I can get promoted in Hawaii then I can get promoted here too eventually. Janet: That's definately true. Terri: Just um - do me one favor, huh? Janet: Mmkay. Terri: Don't tell Larry about this. I don't want to make him feel awkward. Janet: Oh - are you sure? Terri: Yes. I might tell him later myself, but for now I want to keep it quiet. Janet: Okay. I promise. Terri: Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------- TBC - Sorry, only have time to type up the first half. But now that it's up I swear I'll get part 2 up by the end of the week.
