Default Public displays of affection?

Do you have issues with public displays of affection? Are you affectionate in public?

I have no problems with holding hands, hugging...however, when two people are going at it in a store or somewhere where it doesn't make sense to be french kissing and so forth, that is crossing the line. If they are at a park or something similar, I have no issue with that. Just out of the ordinary places i don't understand.

I feel the same way you do, Irene...I think that the heavy stuff should remain in the bedroom, or at least in privacy. I've had friends that made out with their boyfriend RIGHT in front of me as if I wasn't even in the room (made me feel like a third wheel, really). I don't mind a hug, hand holding, or even a kiss on the lips, but anything more is just really disrespectful to the others around you, IMO.

I have no problem with it as long as your not tonguing your significant other down in public. I was in the grocery store one day standing in line and there was this couple just kissing away. There a time and place for everything.

I'll kiss my husband (a peck) in public and hug and hold hands, but I don't have a make out session with him. Also rubbing on your significant others butt while standing in line at stores looks bad and inappropriate especially when there's little kids around. Mainly I don't want to see it.

i brought this discussion up because it was a topic on the radio today. One caller called in and said his five year old son asked him, why are they kissing? The boy was referring to two guys kissing in a grocery aisle. The father went up to the guys and told them to please not do that in the store because there are kids around, and since his son saw them kissing, he didn't want to have to explain to his five year old abt homosexuality, at least not yet. The guys got mad at the father and told him to mind his own business.

There was a couple in the supermarket yeaterday that was pushing the PDA limits to the max. Holding hands is fine, an occasional peck on the cheek is okay, but the joined at the hip, giggling, kissing and googly eyes thing is a bit much.
No two people should be that happy to be at the Food Emporium at 2:00 on a Sunday afternoon.

Believe me, if my local Food Emporium had a big sale on items that I actually need, I'd grab the manager and give her a PDA she would never forget.

a peck on the cheek or something or a quick kiss is fine, but 5 minute long make outs are a little inapprotiate for public.

I've always had a feeling that when couples that slobber all over each other in public, it's dudsville in their bedroom.
