I'm surprised that I'm the only one who has the April 25th 1988 repeat of the second Unsolved Mysteries special with Karl Malden. One of the things I found interesting about his story is that he changed his name twice he was born with a different last name. In the Update with his relatives he had a different first name, John I think.

Any chance you would be interested in dubbing a copy for someone less fortunate than you?

Did Malden narate the update? Were any of the other stories updated (Unabomber, Lutter, Consagra)?

I remember Robbie telling me that Malden narrated the Marsh update and Stack also appeared at some point previewing "Special 4" - I could be wrong though?

Marsh's case was that of "Lost Heirs" - Marsh was a common laborer in Kansas City who died in a nursing home and left a large amount of money unclaimed. The segment was your standard "Lost Heirs" segment with appeals made for any of Marsh's heirs to come forward.

Only the Marsh case was Updated instead of the Burns and Weeks cases. I currently don't have the means to dub them when I do I will let everybody know.

Hmmm. Well, for what it's worth, I could transfer them to DVDR for you. I've been doing VHS to DVDR transfers as a business on the side for awhile now, and I have professional studio quality equipment. Since I obviously have an interest in the episodes, I wouldn't charge you a dime, and I would have the tapes and discs back to you in no time. I’ll even pay your shipping costs.
