Default Why do guys cheat? Have you guys ever cheated on your girl?

Have you ever been cheated on?

My boyfriend works with a bunch of guys who make no bones abt how they cheat on their wives. My boyfriend is trying to be the voice of reason. The reasons they give for cheating seems to be the same except for one jerk:

1. My wife is "not exciting" in the bedroom...I need some wild lady.

My boyfriend's answer to that (mine too) is THEN WHY DID YOU MARRY A VIRGIN? Why did you marry a woman who you knew wasn't "wild"? These guys reply with, they wanted a "pure" woman...they didn't want a girl who "ran around", etc.

2. The other jerk stated it's a male thing and he can't turn down "freebies".

Generally, both sexes cheat. But my question really is WHY do guys marry women that haven't been around and then complain when they are not "exciting"? I don't get it.

And please note, I didn't use any foul words in this thread, so please don't post any words that may get this thread shut down.

When I was in relationships, I can honestly say I didn't, but I did get the urge lots of times. One time, I lent this girl my jacket to wear to the store because it was raining, she didn't have a jacket, so I lent it to her. My ex saw it on her and questioned me, I told her it was just an honest favor, so we had a minor argument, and then we patched things up. I told her I was sorry, and should have respected the fact that we were in a relationship, and it was done almost in her presence. I wasn't thinking.

If the married couple has no children I can't understand why you would cheat instead of just getting a divorce if you are not happy. If children are involved it's a little different. I'm not saying cheating at anytime is right. If things aren't going good at home and a man feels he needs to cheat instead of getting a divorce because he's not happy and children are involved, the reason he won't get a divorce is because he wants to keep his family life intact. The majority of the time in a divorce the woman is going to get the kids unless she gives them to the man or she is proven an unfit mother. I've heard "Well you can see them when you get them for your time with them that was layed out in the divorce settlement". Not the same thing. Keeping the family intact is better for the kids in my opinion and I believe most men that cheat would rather be able to spend as much time with their kids as possible instead of on certain weekends. And you could say that the time he is spending with the other woman could be time soent with the kids or family. That's true but I'm sure that there are many opportunities that are out there that don't take away from that time. Once again - I am not approving cheating for anyone. Men or women.

I guess I didn't really answer that question. I would think that people think they can change other people into what they want. You marry "miss prim and proper" and you figure after a few porno movies you can change her int Jenna Jamison. Woman do the same. Alot of them go for the "bad boy" thinking they can change him into Ward Clever.

I have cheated on ex girlfriends, mainly because I wanted some hot animal sex. There really was no other reason that I can think of other than that. I guess I wasn't getting what I wanted from the girl I was with. It was all about being young and stupid for me. I think men and women cheat mostly because they don't get the attention they need at home.

It's a male thing. That is the worst and lamest excuse I have ever heard in my life. No, it's not a MALE thing...it's a thing. And an excuse the feeble minded use, thinking that everyone is as dumb as they are.

I abhor people who cheat. If a guy ever cheated on me, I'd make him eat his own...thing. I'm not generally a very viscious person...but that's the exception. I'd probably end up arrested for assault and battery.

Cheating is the one thing that I could never get past. Just about anything else, within reason, but never cheating (or abuse).

I too abhor the idea that cheating is okay becasue it is a "guy thing."

Don't get married if you still feel the need to spread your love around.

When there's a divorce settlement, is for a reason.Keeping the family intact for the sake of the children is not an option all the time. In most cases, the children are the ones affected because of the situation at home. Some men are just too selfish to notice that they are causing a lot of pain and want their wives to stay just to keep the 'family' and the children 'intact'. That is not a healthy thing to do.
