I don't recall anyone around where I lived say "Jamin on the one"
A lot of people just said Jammin' and Just Chillin was use and it's still used today. And I think that they just made up the whole thing about calling women "burgers", No one said that. |

I've never heard anyone use burgers that way ever. I think they made up Jammin' on the One too. It doesn't even make sense.

WASN'T THAT PHRASE, "JAMMIN ON THE ONE", USED IN A SONG? I'M PRETTY SURE THAT'S WHERE I FIRST HEARD IT FROM. I'LL HAVE TO PUT ON MY THINKING CAP TO RECALL WHICH ONE THOUGH. IN FACT, IT MIGHT EVEN BE IN THE OPENING OF ONE OF STEVIE'S SONGS FROM THE 80'S. WHICH WOULD MAKE SENSE WHY THEO SAID IT. I VAGELY REMEMBER A LOOP-J J JAMIN' ON THE THE ONE. DOES THAT RING ANY BELLS WITH ANYONE? BY-THE- WAY, THE 80'S WERE THE BEST DECADE DONTCHA KNOW!
WHAT A GREAT TIME TO BE A TEEN! AHHH, WHAT MEMORIES.

I was in high school in the late 80's and I don't remember most of those words, except "chillin". We used to say "awesome" and "totally" a lot, and I still do, lol. I look back at my pictures with my BIGGGGG hair and florescent clothes and think "Holy crap, what the hell was I thinking", lol. BUT, it's the way it was, lol.
