Default How do you feel when you see celebs in INFOMERCIALS?

Especially a celeb that you like? What abt the ones you don't like?

I tend to think that they are in need of some serious cash to be doing an infomercial. It's kinda sad.

When I see Barry Williams (greg brady) touting 70's music, that is alright to me because he epitomizes the 70's era. If he was touting the music of the 40's, then I would be skeptical.

When I seen Jennilee Harrison (three's company) on that food dicer/slicer infomercial, i felt like she needed exposure, $$$$ etc. because I haven't seen her work and it seemed like she was desperate for it.

How do I feel? I feel their careers are over, that's what I feel!

It seems like doing a ProActiv commercial is "in" now. ... LOL, they have some of the nation's biggest stars endorsing their product.

In general, I hate seeing any celeb in com/informercials... it loses my interest b/c what... they cant come up w/a good commercial, so they have to stick a celeb in there. Unless its something fitting like you said w/Barry Williams and the 70s music, then I dont mind. But if it's just something random, it seems kind of pathetic IMO.
yes, that's how i feel. they need a celebrity to boost the product...that's what they think.

Remember Sally Struthers and her famous ICS Schools or whatever commercials?

You can learn:
Air Condition/ Heating
Fashion Design
TV/VCR Repair
Child care...blah blah blah

Did that school really work? Was it areal thing you could ever earn a degree with?

I thought Sally did those commercials for starving children. I don't remember the ones you're talking about.

My heart sank when I saw Rick Springfield doing a commercial for Time Life.

I don't watch infomercials, so it doesn't bother me one bit.

Celebs in random ads...

There are two possibilities:
1) The celeb needs the money.
2) The celeb wants some quick and easy money.

More celebs do voiceover work. You hear their voices in ad after ad after ad. You do not see them at all. But they are there. Ooohhhh!

I love seeing celebrities in infomercials!! Especially the ones who were total *******s, and treated everyone like crap when they were at the peak of there stardom. It makes me think yeah, that S.O.B. finally got what he had coming.

Naah, I'm just kidding. really, unless the celebrity is someone who I like and respect alot, it really doesn't bother me to see them in infomercials. I mean, it's not like they're being forced to work at McDonalds or anything.

I saw Jennilee Harrison doing an infomercial and all I could think was how sad it was to be a star on a hit sitcom to now doing this.

not to mention seeing those ugly fish lips that she got from her plastic surgeon and that ugly face lift...her eyes always have that surprised look. I swear, she looks like the joker from Batman.

She really does. Just proves that plastic surgery isn't the answer.
