Connection between Unsolved Mysteries and Prison Break! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was watching Prison Break last night and I heard the name DB Cooper. Now I had heard that name before but never really thought about it until last night. Then I realized DB Cooper was the guy that would hijack the planes and jump out. Anyways if you watch Prison Break there is this whole story well it's more like a background story about the inmate being DB Cooper.

I just thought it was really cool that they incorporated something real into the story. It's even cooler since DB was profiled on Unsolved Mysteries.

Well DB Cooper is a well-known hijacker from the 70's, so it is really no big thing to see his name mentioned on a show. Unsolved Mysteries, although they did profile this hijacker, this person (DB) has a lasting legacy (a criminal one) and so it's not far-fetched to see his name referenced many times. DB Cooper has been profiled on many, many, many biographies on criminals, crime shows, a whole lot of other shows. No biggie thing.

To be fair, for those of us who weren't alive in the 70's (or were too young to remember), UM may have been our only exposure to the D.B. Cooper case. I watch a million crime shows a week, but not everyone else does.
