I just wanted to say that I checked Lifetime's schedule on their website, and now beginning May 1st, Unsolved Mysteries will air 3 times a day!
Beginning Monday May 1st (Eastern time) 2:00 pm 7:00 pm 8:00 pm However, the episodes that are airing in the evening are the episodes that originally aired on Lifetime from the early 2000s. |

Hopefully this means the older episodes will return to the 2pm slot.

Wow. I did not see this coming at all. I imagine 2PM will be the retro slot...I hope. I'd prefer some more oldies later on in the evening, though. Darn.

I'm guessing that if they show newer episodes in the evening slots, it's to show more recent cases that they still hope to solve--by showing it to the largest audience possible. More people are not at work at 7 and 8 than at 2:00.
Nevertheless, it's great to see UM getting so much love. I've never seen a show that has been out of production for over 3 years getting so much airtime on a non Nick at Night type channel. I think they know it will pull good numbers wherever they put it. Why do you think FX shows 7 episodes of "Cops" every day? |

JUST A THOUGHT... but maybe Lifetime is gauging the response that viewers have to the beefed-up UM schedule as a means of testing to see if viewers would support a new version of the show. That's competely wishful thinking, but how cool would that be?
