In one episode, Fred and Lamont get tested for tuberculosis, Fred says he smokes 2 packs of cigarettes a day. Why then is Fred never shown smoking? Does anyone else find this strange?

Off the top of my head, I remember seeing him smoke a cigarette in two other episodes - Fred Sanford has a Baby & the one where he replaces all his "stolen" furniture with that garish stuff from Crushed Velvet City.

he was shown smoking a cigarette at the beginning. He was coughing and said "Smoking less, enjoying it more!"
