This episode of What's Hapening was too similar to a episode of Good times - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The episode when Dee Begged her Mom to let a escapee from Prison live with them is very similar to Michael begging his mom to letting the old Man live with the Evans. I know the idea of this What's Happening ep came from Good times especially since that ep of Good times was aired in 1975-lol

The only real big difference was there was no "message" at the end of the WH episode. lol

The better question, is when is there NOT a message in a Good Times episode. One that had both Florida and James in it.

It was also similar to the Good Times episode where Michael asks if they can take in "Ned the Wino" for a few days.
