Default How many of you would have rather been broke and hungry and living on the street

instead of going back to work for someone who falsely accused you of stealing and fired you for it? Another low point for Mabel to go back to a job after they fired her for something she didn't do. I would have just had to do without until another job comes along. I bet you Florida Evans would have never went back-lol

Mabel couldn't do until another job came along, she had a family to take care of.

I wouldn't have went back either, because they proved that when something is missing, she would have been the first to get blamed. That couple didn't seem like good bosses to work for anyway. In other words, they didn't trust her.

Why compare Florida and Mabel? Mabel had more weight to pull(no pun intented) Florida had James and J.J.

It was still more money and I seriously doubt that they were going to accuse her of stealing again.

Exclamation I sure as heck WOULDN'T!

No WAY, Jose...
There is no way in hell that I'd go back to work for anybody who falsely accuses me of ANYTHING! You don't do that to people and expect for them to trust you like that again.
I don't care who it is.

I would have gone back, I would've stuck with it until I found something else. When you own a house you have to pay your mortgage, electricity, water, gas and you have to put food on the table. When you have to pay all of those bills every month, then you have to make as much money as you can.

Cool True enough, BUT...

That being true enough, Briennas, about the "immediate need" of feeding kids and tending to their important needs, etc. There's no doubt about that being true... and yeah, I agree with that...

But then again, there's such a thing as saving up as much money as you honestly can, just in case something awful comes along (such as what happened to Mama Thomas, in her being falsely accused of stealing) as far as a being on a job goes.
And if that ever happened to me, at least I could say that I've got enough to get by with, and look for another opportunity UNTIL much better comes along. I would NOT go back to work for somebody like that. Ever...

And it's just like I always say: "To each his/her own, to each his/her own..."

Amen to that! You and I see things differently because we have families to take care of. Mabel might not have wanted to go back there, but she knew that at least for the time being she needed to.
