The actress that played her looked alot like Cheryl Hines. Is that the segment that she's in? On her IMDB page, it claims she plays a nurse. Does anyone know which segment she's in, if it's not this one?

I'm not sure but she doesn't seem very appreciative of the start UM helped to give her. I found this blurb:

"Although many fans have revered Cheryl's dramatic performances in "Unsolved Mysteries" and "Swamp Thing," Cheryl modestly dismisses these roles as "crap.""

Btw Sharon Kinne unfortunately has never been recaptured. She escaped in 1969.

...as opposed to all her other roles that made such a difference in curing world hunger...promoting peace....establishing a universal health plan....

Sorry. It just gets to me when actors dismiss their previous roles. BTW, who the heck is she? I must have missed her at this years Oscars.

Hey now insulting both unsolved mysteries and Swamp Thing... both among my favorites.... the nerve of her! That crosses the line for me.

Unsolved is well unsolved... brilliant when it's at it's best and still watchable at it's worst.

Swamp Thing... man do I love that film. I'm a sucker for all sorts of B movies that are so bad...they're good.... the stuff the likes of Troma and Full Moon put out.

In fact depending on mood... I would sometimes rather watch Troll 2 or Jack Frost 2 "attack of the killer snowman" over a good film.

I'm weird like that.....

I think it would be fun to be an UM actress. I'd brag about it to everyone.

Cheryl Hines was in an episode about a nanny who was abusing a child she was supposed to be caring for. Cheryl Hines played the mom. How I can remember this is beyond me. And if I were an actor I would be happy about an UM role - hey it is work! Plus it is Unsolved Mysteries!!!

I sort of remember that too. I agree if I were an actor I would be happy too. I remember reading somewhere that Matthew McCougnahey was grateful for his early opportunties including the UM spot.

This kind of stuff is what I think would make Inside the Actors Studio a way better show. I just want James Lipton to say, "Tim Robbins, let's talk about your first lead role in that brilliant film, Fraternity Vacation."
