today at my school we had a bomb threat. we were forced to evacuate and had the police, bomb sqaud, and the dogs (that they have at airports to sniff 4 drugs or w/e) in our schoo. although nothing happened...say a prayer that all the school violence everywhere stops. thankyou.

I'm sorry, but here comes a rant and rave. I live in Georgia and they suspended somebody at some school for bringing a little toy gun to school that was smaller than my finger.

I just don't get these school shootings. It is so sad that these people have to copycat these shootings and bomb threats. I thank god that I'm a Junior and I only have one more year to go and I'm out of school.

I think that its mostly parents fault about how their kids grow up. I really wished everybody would cut this B.S. out about how music and movies are responsible for violence. That may be partially true, but its more the parents fault then anything else.

I'm sorry for such a long post. I will say a prayer though for all the school violence to stop.

The school shootings are getting out of comtrol. It's sad enough that students go to school every day not sure of what the day will bring. It's even sadder knowing that there are many things that can be done to prevent this. The most important - kids have to BE NICE to other kids. In all of these school shootings and threats the person doing it is considered and outcast, and is teased and ridiculed on a daily basis. I must admit that I do feel bad for the kids responsible, because they were pushed to the brink. People are not born evil, including theese kids. They must have been very hurt and very sad and very lonley.

*I am in no way supporting their actions, but you have to see all sides of the tragedy, even those who did it.*

Also, I agree with what Jenny said completely. Parental Involvement is KEY. Media and music and all that is not the cause, although things like violence on tv and in video games contribute. Also, if you think about it, even the news plays a part. All their constant coverage glorifies these occurances, and inadvertantly encourages it.

I feel I've said my peace, for now.

Sad

Just a few days ago, b4 spring break, a person that was in my band class was arrested 4 a bomb threat, and the teachers didn't tell us about it! I think we have a right to know about it, even if it was a threat, and was stopped. He was a real pervert, though! LOL... I know I shouldn't be joking, but I try to look on the bright side of things; if you concentrate on the bad things, it shadows over the good things. I'll really say a prayer for everybody's schools, and the world, to be freed from all this violence and suffering. Hey, I hit the big 400! And it's 2 days after my 4th month! :P
