Default Has Anyone Ever Tried Online Dating?

I don't know if this topic was ever brought up before. I just wanted to know has anyone ever tried online dating on one of those sites before? Just wanted to get people's opinions and experiences if any about it. I am so embarrassed I accidently put this on the Good Times board.

Yep. I met my boyfriend on OKCupid, and we've been dating now for 4 months. I see him everyday after he's done with work.

Unless I stay with my current boyfriend forever, I'm gonna find my husband online when I'm about 17 and get married at 18. I want to start a family young.

Talking Dating Service

I met my boyfriend through a dating service; we've been together for 11 yrs.
now and still very much in love. It worked for us but that doesn't mean that it will work for everybody. It depends but I think it's worth the try.

I used dating services just to meet someone and have fun because it's too many photos of other guys for me to take a female seriously.

I've put up a profile one time but nothing really happened with it. I set up a date with one guy on there but then he ended up not showing. Oh well, he was 10 years older than me and lived kinda far away so it probably wouldn't have worked out anyway.

Iv'e tried it, and had some pretty good results. Met some really cool people. Iv'e pretty much given up on it though, because I realized I'm not ready to be in a relationship right now. Last thing I need at this point in my life is more drama.

Yeah I was wondering about that because people see a variety of photos and it can be like being a kid in a candy store. Oh I like this one and I like that one too and so on and so on. Then say if you date the people who respond to you it is sort of like going through resumes to see who you are going to pick. So you never know if you are just one of the many guys she is seeing.

I'm against Online Dating because you just never know who exactly it is that you are talking to. The other person may not be truthful in anything they say. The they could be lying about their interests, their age or just about anything else.

Well, a couple of years ago one of my closest friends bit the bullet and signed up for Yahoo personals.
He met a wonderful woman, they got married last September and they are expecting a baby at the end of this year.

If he could do it, anyone can!
