Yikes... I can't imagine anyone wanting to sing Bohemian Rhapsody, as it is a difficult song to sing... Honestly, if the producers of the show are going to continue doing these "theme" shows, they really need to pick much better categories, as I have a feeling this is going to be a major snooze-fest...

constantine did well with it...but i think the only contestant who could pull it off this year is chris.

I had forgotten Constatine sang "Bohemian Rhapsody"... You're right about Chris being the one to excel at singing Queen; I hope he choses to sing "I Want to Break Free"...

Ugh...I hope it isn't Kellie or Bucky who butchers Bohemian Rhapsody.

Okay I was too lazy to read that entire thread and look for spoilers for everyone

I love Queen, I'm extremely familiar with their music and I know one thing... whoever attempts Bohemian Rhapsody will be a disaster. There's really no one I can see with the voice to fulfill all the different parts of Bohemian Rhapsody. I mean perhaps someone has a good voice for the ballad part of it, and maybe someone has the voice for the rock part of it, but can anyone really do both? The reason Constantine did so well with it last year is that he started singing from theatre and broadway shows, then later evolved into a rocker. Out of everyone on idol, I really don't think anyone can do that, not even the almighty Chris Daughtry.

If anything, Chris needs to sing Headlong or I Want it All. Those are both harder rock songs of Queen. Especially I Want it All. I think he should definitely do that. As for everyone else...

Katharine - Somebody to Love - This song is a love ballad with abundant high notes which equals SUCCESS for Katharine if she sings it

Chris - Headlong or I Want it All as mentioned above

Ace - Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy - This is the PERFECT song for Ace. If you all heard it, you'd agree. It's a little um... feminine? I mean, Ace can do loads with his special falsettos on this song and it'd be amazing.

Bucky - Fat Bottomed Girls - If he does this song, I will have such a bigger amount of respect for him. Sure it might be hilarious to hear him singing about that But... it's got a veeery country-ish beat and sound to it. In fact I heard this remake of it by this country group and it sounded great! So hopefully he chooses this. If he turns out to be the one who picked Bohemian Rhapsody, oh that would be hilarious but hey it'd get him finally voted off!

Elliott - I Want to Break Free - You know, I can't figure out why I want him to sing this... but I think he'd do well with it

Paris - Another One Bites the Dust - I feel like it would fit her voice and definitely her personality

Kellie - No One But You (Only the Good Die Young) - Here's a song she can't ruin! I mean that in a nice way, because Queen is definitely not her style at all. But this is a sweet, nice ballad, and she'd get tons of praise for it.

Taylor - Seven Seas of Rhye... this song is PERFECT for him. It's bizarre, and so is he

Nobody is going to sing "We Are the Champions"? Interesting. I thought could do a good job with that one.

here are my opinions.

Ace- WE WILL ROCK YOU!??!? That's not a song, it's a chant! I could see him going home with this one. Bad song choice, Ace.

Bucky- This song actually fits him well. It's really really rock-ish so I'm not sure if he'll be able to pull it off but I actually could see him doing well with it (I still want him out though...)

Chris- He can do AMAZING with this song. It fits him well.

Eliott- Hmm, not sure what to think of this one. He can possibly do well with it, but he would have to work hard.

Katharine- Ehh. I think she could have chosen better. From what I've heard of it, it's boring.

Kellie- Wow, she needs to pull this off, and I don't think she will. It's an AMAZING song, so I want her to do well. If she pulls this off, then wow. She's gonna be a huge front-runner...if she doesn't, i smell her first bottom 3 visit.

Paris- She can actually do AMAZING with this. It's her type of song. I'm excited to see what she'll do with this.

Taylor- Yeah, Taylor, bad song choice. I see a spaz-filled performance already. Ugh. It doesn't help that it's already been sang this year.

Yeah

If Bucky and Kellie were fighting over it, I bet Kellie won the song because she protested she had more fans! lol

Taylor was supposed to sing it, but he later changed his mind cuz he wanted to do a song that would show off his dancing and "real self."

I'm glad he didn't do it. It would've been a disaster, just like Ace's We Will Rock You. AI should stay away from those two songs, as well as Bohemian Rhapsody. (After Connie's amazing performance last year, it should never be touched again, at least in the final rounds...although we all know Kellie did SUCH a good job with it last night as well. -_-)

But hopefully, the contestants will sing We Are the Champions in the group medley/song tonight!
