Audio DVD Problem on "Try, Try Again." - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Guys,

Listen closely in the beginning when Jan and Cindy are at their ballet class. When the music stops and Jan is talking to her teacher, notice the terrible echo on their voices! It's as if they talking in a cave! (Have you noticed this on other prints of this episode?) (TV Land or Syndication?)

It appears that they may have filmed this scene in the Brady garage! (The paneling background looks cheesy for a school! hahaha) Also check out the building in the beginning before they shift to the interior. I think that this is the same building exterior that they have used for Mike's office in a couple of episodes.

Some have reported echoing in "Out of This World" and "The Hustler", which largely take place outside. Due to audio limitations at the time, and the fact that all of the "mistakes" can now be picked up with today's digital technology, we may hear more of these types of continuity audio errors that TV Land or Syndication couldn't pick up with their old prints.

I just watched my tape of the TVLand version. There is an echo, but it just seems like a natural thing for a large room with no carpeting. I don't have the 5th season DVD yet so I can't compare. The office building does look like the same stock photo.

Now the echo in the "garage" and the "attic"--I do agree; those have always seemed out of place.
