Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark trilogy by Alvin Schwartz!

SSTTINTD was the scariest book trilogy I have ever read. I remember one day as a child, I had read one of the books in the trilogy and I stayed up late with my stepdad watching State Troopers. My stepdad asked me why I wasn't in bed, and I replied, "I am scared because I read a SSTTINTD book that I checked out of the library." My stepdad said, "You should never had checked out that book if you're that scared." But those books are great! I'd read them to this day if I found any of the books of the trilogy. One face in the picture sacred the (beep) out of me. The Story was called The Dream and this really fat woman was just smiling this really big creepy smile.:shudders: I had trouble sleeping that night. Another disturbing picture was where they had this deceased woman's picture, where in it she looked like a skeleton with only a little flesh and with hair . I didn't get what was so scary about a story called The Wall where two elderly men are in the hospital and are close to their deaths. One guy has his view to the window and he describes how he sees the busy street, filled with energetic and happy people. The other guiy who has his view to the hospital walls gets jealous and impatiently waits for the guy to die so he could get the view. The guy with the view dies and when the impatient guy finally gets the deceased's man's bed with a view, he only sees a brick wall. What is scary about that?
