Default Ok This Is Really Irritating abt TVLand scrunching the ending credits

Last night right after watching the TVLand special with Barry Williams, as soon as the credits started, they pushed them to the side to show those idiotic, stupid, asinine, ******** skits they must show. I wanted to see the credits and I couldn't. You would think with a "new" show like that, they would allow the credits to roll. It's bad enough they do it with old shows, they probably figure what's the point, but with a new show?

Ugh, I hate that too! I hate it when I want to see who played a character on a show, or hear the ending theme, and they scrunch the credits. And they usually don't show anything useful or anything we haven't seen a million times before on regular(full sized) promo spots.
I mean I could understand it if they put commercials for products in there(not that I care for commercials but hey, they have to pay the bills), but for those promos about what is coming on next and stuff like that?! Who cares!!
If fact, that's what they should do if they want to go on scrunching the credits - use that time for advertising so they don't have to edit out so much of the shows.

Are you talking about that "What the heck?!" thing? Yeah that is annoying.

It didnt bother me too much when they had those coming up next, Mary Tyler Moore episode #65, as that was important and useful, but it got bothersome when they put those miscellaneous things in there.

good idea. it's not like we don't know what is coming on. My God, they have all that time in between show airings to show us all the junk they want.

Yeah those are annoying. When I am trying to record something on the WB such as Living with Fran or Reba they always take up 3/4 of the screen with new ads for their crap show Related. So I just edit out the ending credits which I don't like to do.

Those too. Those are soooo stupid. Especially when they show little tidbits of a show for their What the Heck subject. Stupid. They showed Green Acres and the guy in Oliver's car messing around with the power windows...WTF!? I mean, WHY!!!!!????? is that so important? I am soooo surprised that the people who work on current sitcoms, don't have a mutiny abt their names not being shown for their hard work. How do you think the camera guys and the camera ladies feel? Or the gaffers? Or the script person? I know I would be screaming to have my name shown!

I hate that! They did that with Wings, and there was usually a scene while the credits were rolling and you couldn't watch it cause the stupid announcer was talking

I guess we won't see Roseanne ever on TVLand because her show had the tag scene with the credits rolling over it. How could a station do that to the fans?

I do that with GSN shows. They show like only 2 or 3 fee plugs and cut it off. The people look all smashed up now. They dont even get to the credits with most of their shows. I dont see why they cant just leave it alone and let the end part play.

It seems channels don't care about us. If you try to complain to them about it, chances are they'll say "get the YKW out of our face, go get a DVD if you want to look at the credits".

Exactly. that is what I say. Give the people the credit they deserve. Why have them if you aren't going to show them? I wonder what idiot people decided on this crap???? I miss the way t.v. was back in the old days when you could see the credits and who played what part etc.

Yeah, I think GSN is the worst.

Default I know what you mean....

...the only time I DON'T see any "squeezed" credits are in the wee hours of the morning (betweeen 3 and 6am [et]). Otherwise, TV LAND (and 'Nick At Nite' are plugging away on the left side of the screen. Marathons on weekends are the same deal, only you get more promos about the marathon you're watching. I remember a period last year they actually showed their "retromercials" during the closing credits...who knows what's next??
