I noticed that some people will ask, if a certain season will be re-released because of the syndicated versions. For example, i have seen people asking if season 1 of the cosby show will be re-released since season 2 is uncut. That makes absolutely no sense at all. Why would a season be re-released when the average cosby show fan will already know that they have season 1 unless it said on the front-THIS SET IS UNCUT-lol That re-release question is just plain silly.

Almost as silly as this thread, perhaps? Anyway, given that some studios will correct a probem on a set by releasing a fixed disc I can understand why some people would like to think that the studios would correct the ENTIRE set by re-releasing it with the full versions.

But how would the new set make any money? Will UNCUT be in BOLD print on front of the DVD? Talk to me-lol |

I would think they would want to re-release a DVD UNCUT for those who have been clammering abt it. It kinda reminds me of CD's being re-released with extended versions of songs, new remixes or something added to it. I have several CD's that are the same except the difference being there are added songs or dance versions, etc.

They're re-releasing "The X-Files". I don't think there was anything wrong with the original sets, FOX just wanted to milk it some more.

they need to re-release the last 2 seasons of Knight Rider on DVD because of sound problems mostly.

I heard that they are going to re-release season sets of Stargate SG-1 (the original version with RDA) in slim jewel cases, because their season sets are EXTREMELY bulky and take up a whooping TWO FEET of shelf space, from side to side. I had considered picking up Stargate SG-1 [because of RDA], but I did not want to own the bulky sets...I am definitely considering getting Stargate now because of that. http://tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=5424 I'm going to hold off on Stargate for now though, I have other sets I want to get before I dive into the SG-1 series. |
