Default I know Scott dressed in drag only a few times in CIC...

I don't know how many times....probably once or twice, I don't know. But when he did, he did not look like a woman. It was sort of like seeing Scott Bakula in Quantum Leap and knowing that guy did not look like a woman. The most ugly woman in Quantum Leap. Scott Baio has good looks and all, but him in drag......nah.
What did you all think when Scott did this a few times? What is your initial reaction first of all? I know in the 2nd Season when he dressed in drag to cover for the rising star from Grandpa Powell and Grandpa not recognizing Charles says, "What does he see in her?"

But I am not sure what episode that was when the mailman jumps? I probably shall never know.

the episode in which the mailman jumped was when Charles was dressed as Carmen Miranda...episode #69-Where the Auction Is...the Powell kids bought Charles' services so he could do anything they wanted. Anyway, the reaction by the mailman was so funny. He almost broke down the door when he jumped back.

btw, the episode you mentioned was episode #36-Isn't that What's Her Face?

That's the one I was figuring out in the credits. Thanks. Carmen Miranda...that's the name I was trying to guess.

Your right, he didn't look good as a woman, despite his good looks. It could be, because he's a handsome man not a pretty boy that made the difference. Masculine sex appeal, perhaps?

I really don't have an answer for that. Since it was the 80s, he must have tried to appeal the masculine appeal quality! I simply do not have an answer since Scott wrote CIC in both syndicated and CBS years. I'll have to ask him who were you trying to appeal to...he probably won't give me an answer. That's okay...you could predict and you might be right or wrong. There is no between.

By masculine sex appeal, I meant he's sooo masculine, WOMEN find him appealing, and this all male quality prevents him from being attractive when dressed as a female. In other words he's a gorgious male who's too clumsy to be feminine. Men have dressed in drag on TV since the 1950's, it was only meant to be funny, it had nothing to do with gay.

Scott dressed like a woman was funny because he had a great body for a guy, so it just didn't work as a female.

He did this twice for CIC, right? You know, I wish there was a video game....I mean, they already did the 24 on PS2....
