Question Retromercials!

Whether or not it's been on TVLand, what's your favorite retromercial and why?
Mine's "Spicy Meatball!"

I don't really have a single favorite, but I do love the retromercials. I like the ones that mention or imply a price because I can then instantly gauge the impact of inflation. During the election, they ran old campaign adds. I liked those for the historic reference.

I wonder if tvland collects fees from crackerjack or other folks still in business when they run them. I am quick to channel surf to mtv or tvguide or cnn with most channels during commercials, but I find that I don't on tvland...maybe that effect is payment enough.

The commericials I would most like to see...
McDonalds "47 cents for a three course meal" and the McDonalds "change back from your dollar". This pair of commercials opened my eyes to inflation as a kid.

I also wish that tvland would date retromercials.

I have seen a little tribute to Burt Musten on tvland. I hope they do more of these too.

Now that I've thought about it a bit, I name that crackerjack commercial as my favorite. Beats me why I like it....I hope I have a good reason somewhere in my brain.

Oh, I love retromercials! My favorites are the "Where's the beef?!" one, the Plop, Plop, Fizz, Fizz (Oh what a relief it is!) one, the Spicy meatball one, and the Orville Redenbaucher one with the Howells from Gilligan's Island.

I always liked that McDonalds holiday commercial with all the little kids ice skating with Ronald McDonald. Its the one where the little boy gets left behind but Ronald comes back and skates with him. Its cute. I think they show it almost every year around the holidays. Or maybe not - I can't remember when I last saw it. (I don't get TVLand)

I like that one commercial thats supposed to be serious, but ain't. It says: '(Name of Brand) has been dedicated to the number 19 and all the headstrong women of this world' LOLOLOL

I noticed that they're restarting some. The One 'Get Your Town Ready', the one I just named, and the Burger King Commercial with Woodolark of "Hello Larry"

And who can forget: Suzy Chapstick
