I would like to lift some audio off a dvd--does any one know if there is a software that can do this-the reason why I'm asking is I want to use the audio for my menus and the music cannot be found anywhere else.

I've done this occasionally, so I referred to my notes. I used Virtual Dub (free). My notes say, if I get an error, to use Virtual Dub MPEG2.
I don't remember where I dl'd VD & VDM2, but it should be easy to find if you Google it. Oh, later in the notes it says, AOA DVD ripper (not free) has the option to extract audio, too. PS - this is also my very awkward way of converting an LP album to a computer file. (Some things I collect are things that were put out on LP only.) I record on the DVD recorder with the right/left speaker inputs coming from our turntable. Then I just rip the audio. Clumsy, yes. But it works. |
