...it should have been about Ned the Wino instead of Fishbone? I mean Fishbone was never mentioned or seen until that episode, while Ned was mentioned and seen more than a few times.

I always felt that way, and it wasn't like raymond allen wasn't available because Sanford and Son had ended when this ep of Good Times aired-lol

Actually, that's who I thought the episode was about at first, because I watched it from middle part at the funeral.

Maybe Raymond Allen wasn't available that particular week.

In any case, Robert Guillaume aka Benson turned in a very funny performance as Fishbone.
