Default How many of didn't think Bobby should have left

I think thats what killed this show I thougt seasons one to three were funnier than the last two. I thought it was funny when Louie would make fun of him when he couldn't get an acting job. I like the episode when he gets a job on a soap and quits then when his character gets killed off then he has to beg for his job back

Jeff Conoway's decision to leave "Taxi" is the textbook example of stupidity.

Hey - I'm on a hit show that the critics love, I better get out of here right now and find somethng else!

Duh!

Bobby was never one of my favorite characters on the show so it didn't bother me at all when he left. I thought every season of Taxi was great though seasons 2 and 3 are my favorites.

Haven't seen the show in a LONG time, did they have a farewell show for him when he left or did they just write his character off as having moved away?

I haven't seen it in a long time but I think he guest starred in an episode during the first season he left which wrote him out of the show.

Yes. Bobby returned from L.A. where he was working on the pilot for a TV show.
The show got picked up, but they decided to recast his part.
Dejected, Bobby was going to give up on his acting dream and stay in New York, but Alex and the gang convinced him to go back to Hollywood and try to make it in showbiz.

I wish Bobby would've stayed. I really enjoyed his character. Foolish move on Conaway's part.

He had the least successful career of any Taxi actor except Randall Carver. He never should have left.

At least Carver was fired, or at least I think he was.

To be honest, Bobby was and still is my least favorite character on Taxi. Conoway tends to overact, making his character less believable. I hate to say it, but I wish he would have left during season 1. I would have rather had Carver stay.
