Smile Favorite book characters?

Do you have any favorite book characters? I do.

I LOVE Karen from BabySitters's Little Sister book. I love that girl! I connect with her so much. I got mad because in one book, she threw up in the bus and the "big kids" made fun of her every day for throwing up and they called her "pukehead" and "big baby.". I was like, "Leave her alone!" Can you imagine feeling that way with a character? I also felt her dilemma when she let her injured friend borrow her expensive new doll that came from LONDON(VERY EXPENSIVE) and the friend didn't want to give it back, because she thought it was given to her. So Karen liked to her mom and told her that the doll was at her dad's house.(Karen's parents are divorced). The mom believed her, and Karen later wondered, "What would happen if mommy found out that not only did I lie to her about the doll, but Nancy won't give it back?"(Her exact words). I was like, I sympathized with her.

There was one book that karen got on my nerves a little. Her baby sister(Her dad and her stepmom's adopted daughter) kept crying because she had an ear infection. Karen thought, "All Emily did was cry and rub her ear. She was very annoying. Everybody keeps paying attention to her, and almost nobody paid attention to me." I was like, "Shut up! She's in pain!" I was upset that she was annoyed by her sister who was suffering.

No, that was the book called "The Chocolate Touch." If you read TCT, you will see that it is just a modern day situation of King Midas. Some kid wished everything he touched would turn into chocolate, and he kisses his mom, and she turns into chocolate. Much like King Midas, who wished everything he touched would turn into gold, and he ended up turning his daughter into gold.
