The Deele came out in 1983 with their first album Street Beat. I love this album. It's a classic to me. My favorite joints on there is Body Talk, Just My Luck, Sexy Love, Video Villain, Crazy About Cha. They did a 2nd album called Material Thangz that had the nice love song I'll Send You Roses. Their last album is called Eyes Of A Stranger and it had the hits Shoot Em Up Movies and Two Occasions. A lot of people don't remember Babyface in this group. LA Reid used to be in the group too. He works for Def Jam records now as vice president. Him and Babyface started their own label Laface records in the early 90's and they signed artists Outkast, TLC, Usher.

I remember him in that group. Wasn't he part of After 7 as well? I love After 7. I don't know the group very well, but I do know the music. They had that one song in that movie The Five Heartbeats, it was called Nights Like This.

LA Reid is president of Def Jam now, my bad. He used to be married to r&b singer Pebbles who had the hit song Mercedes Boy. She also did a duet with Babyface called I Love You Always. I think that's the name of the song. Babyface wasn't in After 7. His 2 brothers are in that group. His darkskin brother in that group looks just like him. The Deele's Street Beat and Eyes Of A Stranger album covers crack me up because the group members have on too much makeup, have long hair and they look like girls hahahahahahahaha. Is Laface records still in business? I don't think Babyface runs the label anymore and i know LA Reid isn't workin there since he works at Def Jam.
