Default WORST SHOW EVER NOMINATIONS

my wife heard of a show, and just had to find it, she did, oh my goodness

i nominate it for the worst show ever

LETS BOWL

it was originaly a local minneapolis tv creation, then went to commedy central

the general idea is two people have some sort of disagreement between them

they square off in a bowling alley

on the hardwoods

winner gets a great pize, like a weekend trip to--DULUTH---

or a 1/4 beef for a polka pin strike

did i mention that they had the bowling skills of a 9 year old

then the winner squares off against a league bowler, and if they win that match, perhaps a used snowmobile

one cool thing is they can blow an air horn to distract the other person, while they are bowling

in the pilot, one dude scared the other so bad, he fell down and the ball went into the gutter

there are two announcers, with a combined iq of 1 or less

and even a small audience to watch

and a small segment on how to properly dispose of unwanted bowling balls

of all the things to find, she gets this, and of course its complete

i suppose lamont will be on the phone in a few minutes, can i get that....

Cool tough one for me

B/c as most of you know, and Loren can attest to, I actually LIKE the stupid flop, lame-o shows that everyone hates

BUTTTTTT

my pick for the worst show I ever saw would have to be

KNIGHT RIDER-- why?

for many reasons, im not gonna pick a show that is horribly bad and lasted 2 weeks

i picked KNIGHT RIDER b/c it was so obviously dreadful and yet it lasted 4 years and had good ratings!

the stories were written on a 7th grade mentality, the plots were highly illogical, the mysteries were so plain that you would have to be ******** not to figure them out

David Hasselhoff---- need I say more?

PLUS--- a big pet peeve of mine is when tv shows have computers do things that make no sense, or that a computer could never do AND KNIGHT RIDER did this all the time!

The show was pure fluff, like a cartoon with live actors and the plots were so simple minded

I watched an episode today as i was flipping around, I watched it all to see if it was any better now than it was then, and NO it was just as bad.

What makes it even worse to me is that they poured so much $$$$ into that show, and so many people watched it and never questioned, "Why am i watching this crapola?"

PS my runner up award would be LOVE CONNECTION, the awful 1980s game show. the whole thing was that they set people up on dates and they tried to make the questions as racy and crude as possible, the entire thing was a 30 minute giggle fest with Chuck Woolery and every question was basically meant to be a humorous way of finding out if they had sex! dreadful, dreadful, dreadful

In the 50's Friday night was boxing night on NBC. The sponsor was Gillete blue blades.." To be sharp and be on the ball use Gillete Blue blades for the sharpest edge of them all" Anyway if there was a mid round knockout they filled the remaining time with greatest fights of the century. Showed some real good footage, Dempsey-Firpo, Dempsey-Tunny, Louis-Schmeling, Johnson-Ketchel etc. If there was a first or second round knockout they also showed make that spare, the most stupid, idiotic show I ever saw. They put up a split and two folks who appeared to have direct lineage to prehistoric apes tried to convert them. They never converted anything and almost everyone I know turned of the telly and went to sleep.

Yes, folks there was a period of time called the 50's. Do-Wop-sock hops, rockabilly, it was all there. Show you my love for the 50's. A chap named John Whitburn took a year and figured out how many songs made the top 100 at least once, Then how many times the top 50, top 40, top 20 and gross sales. Based on this he made his top whatever. In a given year maybe 500 songs at one time made the top 100. I have on dvd the year and the sequence of hits from 1-500 in order for the entire 50's. I actually have them also for the 60's and 70's. From 1891 thru 1950 I have maybe the top 75.When I'm burning I listen to the music. They are in mp3 and that's a lot of music. Anyone want to know what number was what for a given year? Just the Whitburn charts give me thousands of songs. Then I have the country Whitburns from 1944-1975.

"You're in the Picture", which was called Gleason's Big Bomb. It lasted 2 shows. The 2nd show was called "the apology show". Jackie Gleason basically apologized the entire show for how bad the first show was. But, the apology show is a classic! See the link:

Default I might have to change my vote

I totally forgot about JOANIE LOVES CHACHI!

what an awful show

first, --- 2 words

Scott Baio? why, why, why

did anyone think Chachi was cool

and Joanie too!? did any guys think she was hot?

the show was pure junk, and the musical numbers made the show look good by comparison

awful

PLUS THE OBVIOUS NONESENSE was that the show is set in the 1950s, BUT of course all of the music they did was pure 1980s bubble gum pop? no sense at all

I watched an episode like 2 months back, and my eyes are still burning

I agree that show sucked however Scott Baio is a dating GOD. He must have some kind of magnatism check out the list of his conquests.

Dated Pamela Anderson, Erika Eleniak, Nicole Eggert, Natalie Raitano, Nicollette Sheridan, Brooke Shields and Heather Locklear.

I would vote the Partidge Family and Eight is Enough as 2 of the worst shows ever. With Dr.Phil and Jerry Springer making my top 10 list of garbage
