Default Did The kids tell Grandpa Evans in season 5 that their Mom was in Arizona?

Or did Grandpa Evans not mention Florida at all which makes us laugh again at the sh*tty writing?-lol

I'm not sure. LOL. I see why some of the writers couldn't get jobs afterwards.

The show just wasn't funny anymore after John Amos departure. I think Seasons one through three were the best. Season three was the funniest. Seasons four consists of the post James Evans episode not as funny but the episodes were pretty good.

I always thought it would have been more believable to have Florida away attending to a sick/dying relative than to be "on honeymoon" in Arizona. Didn't seem believable to me or like something Florida would have done.

The funny thing is Florida and carl was in Arizona during the same TV season as Fred and Lamont which was the 1977-78 season. Fred and Lamont was in Arizona for Fred's health and Florida and carl went their to get their groove on-lol
