Best Alternative Roommate in "Chrissy's Cousin"? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

There have already been several polls about favorite main character, best blonde, favorite episode, etc. But I believe this is definitely an original poll on what might have been.

I'm sure that "Chrissy's Cousin" was a quickly scripted episode in which Cindy was introduced. But you may recall that in that episode, each of the four main characters introduced and suggested someone as a possible new roommate and a replacement to Chrissy.

Those four roommate candidates were:

1. Mr. Furley's lady friend, Mrs. Medford

2. Larry's girlfriend, Jennifer

3. Jack's girlfriend, Maxine

4. Janet's boyfriend, Bill

We all know what happened. Mr. Furley and Larry eventually left with their women, and Maxine and Bill got involved with each other when Cindy arrived. But what if Cindy never arrived?

So my question is, if Cindy never arrived, which one of the four suggested people would you have wanted as the new roommate?

For the sake of curiosity and creativity, I would have chose Mrs. Medford. It would have been interesting to see what kinds of storylines the writers would have with Mrs. Medford becoming the third roommate.

As a side note, this episode kind of creates a plot hole for the first episode of season 6 where Terri replaces Cindy. In that episode, it was Janet who introduced Terri. But the odd thing is that Janet and Terri hardly knew each other, having just met at the hospital. Why didn't she try to introduce a boyfriend again? And why didn't Jack, Larry, and Furley introduce their own recommendations again?

I know it would be impossible b/c the show revolved about Jack being gay and living w/girls but I think BIll would have been intresting!!! What would America have said if two guys lived w/a girl!!! I think there would have been problems w/Jack's girlfriend living w/them and Mrs. Medfor....that would be to werid!!! Imagin Jack walking in on her!!!

So I would have to think Larry would have won this one and his girl would have been the best option...Which I think is the same lady in Jack's 10....!!!
