Why does the laugh track always play when someone rings her doorbell? Is that tune supposed to be funny, maybe its because im american, but i dont get it.

Hyacinth's doorbell ring is that of the Westminster Bells (Big Ben) in London. It shows how snooty Hyacinth is, pretending to be a member of the British Upper Class, which she clearly isn't...

Ah, I totally didn't know that. (And I have actually been to Westminster and maybe even heard Big Ben ring.) Thank you.
